Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the manufacturer of motor vehicles shall apply to the Licensing Authority in Form 38 for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of two hundred rupees, and the Licensing Authority shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within sixty days of the application.
