Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the foreigner shall apply to the Citizenship Committee in Form D for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees, and the Citizenship Committee shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within forty-five days of the application.
