Definitions.—In these regulations, unless the context otherwise requires,— (a) "Act" means the Securities and Exchange Board of India Act, 1992 (15 of 1992); (b) "alternative investment fund" means a person carrying on the pooling of funds for investment; (c) "unit" means a unit received, held or disposed of by a alternative investment fund in the course of the pooling of funds for investment; (d) "Form F" means the form so numbered in the Schedule; (e) words and expressions used herein and not defined but defined in the Act shall have the meanings respectively assigned to them in the Act.
