Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the polling agent shall apply to the Returning Officer in Form 12 for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of one hundred rupees, and the Returning Officer shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within fourteen days of the application.
