Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the bailiff shall apply to the Taxing Officer in Form F for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees, and the Taxing Officer shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within fifteen days of the application.
