Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the operator of a ferry shall apply to the Canal Officer in Form C for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of two hundred and fifty rupees, and the Canal Officer shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within one hundred and twenty days of the application.
