Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the appellate authority shall apply to the Lokpal in Form E for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees, and the Lokpal shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within forty-five days of the application.
