Custody of the register.—The register maintained under these rules shall be kept at the office of the Regional Transport Authority in the custody of the Deputy Transport Commissioner, shall be bound and its pages numbered, and shall not be removed from that office except on the written order of the Regional Transport Authority; and where the Deputy Transport Commissioner having custody of it is succeeded by another, an entry recording the transfer of custody shall be made in Form 20 within forty-five days of the succession.
