Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the borrower shall apply to the Registrar of Moneylenders in Form B for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of one hundred rupees, and the Registrar of Moneylenders shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within sixty days of the application.
