Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the occupier shall apply to the Principal Chief Conservator of Forests in Form I for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of one lakh rupees, and the Principal Chief Conservator of Forests shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within thirty days of the application.
