Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the certifying authority shall apply to the Unique Identification Authority in Form B for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of one lakh rupees, and the Unique Identification Authority shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within fifteen days of the application.
