Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the registered elector shall apply to the State Election Commission in Form 2A for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees, and the State Election Commission shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within sixty days of the application.
