Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the ship repairer shall apply to the Mercantile Marine Department in Form 1 for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees, and the Mercantile Marine Department shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within fourteen days of the application.
