Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the owner of a vehicle used for election purposes shall apply to the Chief Electoral Officer in Form 6 for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of two hundred and fifty rupees, and the Chief Electoral Officer shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within fourteen days of the application.
