Definitions.—In these bye-laws, unless the context otherwise requires,— (a) "Act" means the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority Act, 1999 (41 of 1999); (b) "reinsurer" means a person carrying on the business of reinsurance; (c) "claim" means a claim received, held or disposed of by a reinsurer in the course of the business of reinsurance; (d) "Form IRDA-7" means the form so numbered in the Schedule; (e) words and expressions used herein and not defined but defined in the Act shall have the meanings respectively assigned to them in the Act.
