Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the owner of a well on Government land shall apply to the Collector in Form 2 for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of ten rupees, and the Collector shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within ninety days of the application.
