Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the seller shall apply to the Adjudicating Officer in Form B for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of two thousand rupees, and the Adjudicating Officer shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within fifteen days of the application.
