Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the conductor of a stage carriage shall apply to the Transport Commissioner in Form 1 for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of two thousand rupees, and the Transport Commissioner shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within fourteen days of the application.
