Application for registration.—Every point of sales person carrying on the sale of insurance products at a point of sale shall make an application for registration to the Insurance Ombudsman in Form IRDA-2, within sixty days of the commencement of these rules, accompanied by a fee of fifty thousand rupees and a statement of every premium held by him on the date of the application, and shall keep a copy of the application and of the statement for one hundred and twenty days from that date.
