Transfer of registration.—A certificate of registration shall not be transferable: Provided that where any owner of land within a cantonment dies, his legal representative shall, within twenty-one days of the death, intimate the death to the Commanding Officer of the Unit in Form E, surrender the certificate of registration to it and furnish a statement of every identity card then held; and the Commanding Officer of the Unit shall enter the intimation in the register within forty-five days of its receipt.
