Custody of the register.—The register maintained under these rules shall be kept at the office of the Director of Mines and Geology in the custody of the Mines Surveyor, shall be bound and its pages numbered, and shall not be removed from that office except on the written order of the Director of Mines and Geology; and where the Mines Surveyor having custody of it is succeeded by another, an entry recording the transfer of custody shall be made in Form G within three hundred and sixty-five days of the succession.
