Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the requisitioned property owner shall apply to the District Registrar in Form 6 for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees, and the District Registrar shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within fifteen days of the application.
