Custody of the register.—The register maintained under these rules shall be kept at the office of the Regional Director in the custody of the Assistant Registrar of Companies, shall be bound and its pages numbered, and shall not be removed from that office except on the written order of the Regional Director; and where the Assistant Registrar of Companies having custody of it is succeeded by another, an entry recording the transfer of custody shall be made in Form INC-1 within one hundred and twenty days of the succession.
