Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the keeper of a place of public resort shall apply to the District Magistrate in Form VI for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of ten thousand rupees, and the District Magistrate shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within ten days of the application.
