Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the recruitment and placement agency for seafarers shall apply to the Inland Waterways Authority in Form 2 for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of five thousand rupees, and the Inland Waterways Authority shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within ninety days of the application.
