Safe custody.—Every owner of a motor transport undertaking shall keep every certificate of registration to which these rules apply in a receptacle or place reserved for the purpose at the premises where the running of a motor transport undertaking is carried on, shall record in Form VIII the description of every certificate of registration so kept and the date on which it was received, and shall furnish a copy of the record to the Labour Commissioner within forty-five days of the close of each year.
