Application for registration.—Every owner of a vessel carrying on the operation of a vessel shall make an application for registration to the Inland Waterways Authority in Form 8, within sixty days of the commencement of these rules, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees and a statement of every port clearance held by him on the date of the application, and shall keep a copy of the application and of the statement for twenty-one days from that date.
