Application for registration.—Every salvor carrying on the salvage of vessels shall make an application for registration to the Mercantile Marine Department in Form 5, within seven days of the commencement of these rules, accompanied by a fee of one lakh rupees and a statement of every vessel held by him on the date of the application, and shall keep a copy of the application and of the statement for fourteen days from that date.
