Safe custody.—Every contractor engaged in a mine shall keep every mining lease to which these rules apply in a receptacle or place reserved for the purpose at the premises where the execution of work in a mine is carried on, shall record in Form H the description of every mining lease so kept and the date on which it was received, and shall furnish a copy of the record to the Director of Mines and Geology within three hundred and sixty-five days of the close of each year.
