Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the registrar to an issue shall apply to the Registrar of Companies in Form B for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of fifty thousand rupees, and the Registrar of Companies shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within twenty-one days of the application.
