Transfer of registration.—A certificate of registration shall not be transferable: Provided that where any lessor of immovable property dies, his legal representative shall, within seven days of the death, intimate the death to the State Government in Form C, surrender the certificate of registration to it and furnish a statement of every franking impression then held; and the State Government shall enter the intimation in the register within one hundred and twenty days of its receipt.
