Application for registration.—Every publisher of news on a digital platform carrying on the publication of news on a digital platform shall make an application for registration to the Registering Authority in Form VIII, within sixty days of the commencement of these rules, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees and a statement of every print line held by him on the date of the application, and shall keep a copy of the application and of the statement for seven days from that date.
