Surrender of certificate.—Every owner of a dam who ceases to carry on the maintenance of a dam shall, within one hundred and twenty days of such cessation, surrender the certificate of registration to the River Basin Authority in person or by registered post, and shall inform it in Form D of the manner in which every sample of water held by him has been disposed of.
