Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the manufacturer shall apply to the Controller in Form D for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of twenty-five thousand rupees, and the Controller shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within thirty days of the application.
