Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the authorised user of a geographical indication shall apply to the Registrar of Geographical Indications in Form 27 for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees, and the Registrar of Geographical Indications shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within ninety days of the application.
