Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the owner of a motor transport undertaking shall apply to the Chief Inspector in Form IV for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of two thousand rupees, and the Chief Inspector shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within twenty-one days of the application.
