Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the contractor for canal works shall apply to the Government of Tamil Nadu in Form D for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees, and the Government of Tamil Nadu shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within twenty-one days of the application.
