Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the displaced person shall apply to the District Registrar in Form 2 for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of two hundred and fifty rupees, and the District Registrar shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within three hundred and sixty-five days of the application.
