Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the holder of a reconnaissance permit shall apply to the Director of Mines and Geology in Form G for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of one lakh rupees, and the Director of Mines and Geology shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within one hundred and eighty days of the application.
