Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the driver shall apply to the Transport Commissioner in Form 29 for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of two hundred rupees, and the Transport Commissioner shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within twenty-one days of the application.
