Custody of the register.—The register maintained under these rules shall be kept at the office of the Stamp Revenue Board in the custody of the Assistant Superintendent of Stamps, shall be bound and its pages numbered, and shall not be removed from that office except on the written order of the Stamp Revenue Board; and where the Assistant Superintendent of Stamps having custody of it is succeeded by another, an entry recording the transfer of custody shall be made in Form G within one hundred and twenty days of the succession.
