Transfer of registration.—A certificate of registration shall not be transferable: Provided that where any person in possession of land dies, his legal representative shall, within sixty days of the death, intimate the death to the Board of Revenue in Form 14, surrender the certificate of registration to it and furnish a statement of every demand notice then held; and the Board of Revenue shall enter the intimation in the register within forty-five days of its receipt.
