Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the person in possession of land shall apply to the Board of Revenue in Form 14 for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees, and the Board of Revenue shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within thirty days of the application.
