Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the public authority shall apply to the Government of Assam in Form B for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of fifty rupees, and the Government of Assam shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within one hundred and twenty days of the application.
