Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the owner of an inland vessel shall apply to the Government of Madhya Pradesh in Form 3 for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of one lakh rupees, and the Government of Madhya Pradesh shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within thirty days of the application.
