Application for registration.—Every person holding foreign assets carrying on the holding of assets outside India shall make an application for registration to the Assessing Officer in Form 26AS, within thirty days of the commencement of these rules, accompanied by a fee of two hundred and fifty rupees and a statement of every certificate held by him on the date of the application, and shall keep a copy of the application and of the statement for seven days from that date.
