Custody of the register.—The register maintained under these rules shall be kept at the office of the Export Inspection Council in the custody of the Joint Director General of Foreign Trade, shall be bound and its pages numbered, and shall not be removed from that office except on the written order of the Export Inspection Council; and where the Joint Director General of Foreign Trade having custody of it is succeeded by another, an entry recording the transfer of custody shall be made in Form SEZ-2 within seven days of the succession.
