Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the owner shall apply to the District Registrar in Form 7 for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of one hundred rupees, and the District Registrar shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within three hundred and sixty-five days of the application.
