Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the non-resident shall apply to the Principal Chief Commissioner in Form 35 for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees, and the Principal Chief Commissioner shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within thirty days of the application.
