Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the owner of a building in a village shall apply to the Gram Sabha in Form 6 for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees, and the Gram Sabha shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within thirty days of the application.
